Goldman
is an avid amateur astronomer. He charts sunspots daily. His
most recent sculptures, Cosmic Incubator I & II, were inspired by
images sent back to earth from NASA's Hubbel Space Telescope of nebula
and the birth of stars. Cosmic Incubator II was just
completed and he plans to move on to the creation of III, the third in
the series. Goldman will create the piece first in clay over a
steel frame, make a mold (mother mold) and then cast the prototype in
resin-bronze. It is from this prototype the permanent mold will
later be made. |
